The 2025 Blood Bowl 3 World Championship kicks off on September 12 with team creation, and will culminate on December 7 with the live-broadcast final. 96 coaches from around the world, qualified through more than 60 tournaments, will battle for the title of 2025 World Champion.
The full roster of qualified coaches is not yet finalized, but several serious contenders are already waiting for their shot. 2024 World Champion Andriy, from Spain, will need to deliver top-tier Blood Bowl once again if he hopes to keep his crown.

Today, we are pleased to share the official team creation rules for the 2025 World Championship.
General Rules of the World Championship
Only Participants that qualified and checked-in are allowed to play, with the account they used to qualify.
The matches are played with the following rules:
- Resurrection mode is on. There are no consequences for players after a match (ex: an injured player will come back fresh for the next match). Teams cannot be edited between matches.
- The “competitive” turn timer is set.
- Prayers to Nuffle for underdog are deactivated. Prayers to Nuffle remains possible with the “Cheering Fans” kick-off event.
- The exhibition table of the Prayers to Nuffle is activated
Team Creation
Participants must create 1 new team each for the 2025 World Championship. They will exclusively use this team during the entire Tournament.
Participants cannot use their teams in any other solo or multiplayer competition in Blood Bowl 3 before final win or final elimination.
Players can create their team with any faction currently in Blood Bowl 3, at the exception of the faction that will release in September in order to maintain fairness between participants also playing tabletop and participants playing exclusively on the videogame.
Participants must spend all their cash (5k unused cash maximum) and spend all their skill points according to the specific rules of their faction tier, specified below:
- Tier 1: Amazon, Shambling Undead
Cash allowed: 1,110k
Skill points: 6 primary skills
- Tier 2: Dark Elf, Lizardmen, Wood Elf
Cash allowed: 1,150k
Skill points: 6 primary skills
- Tier 3: Dwarf, Orc, Necromantic Horror, Skaven
Cash allowed: 1,160k
Skill points: 7 primary skills
- Tier 4: Human, Elven Union, Norse, Underworld Denizen
Cash allowed: 1,170k
Skill points: 7 primary skills + 1 secondary skill
- Tier 5: Imperial Nobility, Chaos Renegades, Khorne
Cash allowed: 1,180k
Skill points: 8 primary skills + 1 secondary skill
- Tier 6: Nurgle, Old World Alliance, Chaos Chosen, Black Orc
Cash allowed: 1,190k
Skill points: 8 primary skills + 2 secondary skill
- Tier 7: Goblin, Halfling
Cash allowed: 1,210k
Skill points: 8 primary skills + 2 secondary skills
SPECIAL: 2 Star Players allowed
All skills must be chosen skills. No random skill or characteristic improvement.
Secondary skills can be replaced by Primary skills.
Players may roster the following inducements using the cash allowed: Bribes, Bloodweiser Kegs, Biased Referee, Coach Josef Bugman. Halfling teams only can roster the Halfling Master Chef.
The Wizard inducement is banned.
The following Star Players are banned: Griff Oberwald, Morg ‘N’ Thorg, Hakflem Skuttlespike, Kreek Rastgouger, Skitter Stab Stab, Cindy Piewhistle, Bomber Dribblesnot.
Tiers 4, 5, 6 and 7 teams are allowed to stack 2 primary skills on 1 player. Tiers 1, 2 and 3 are not allowed to stack skills.
With the exception of the ‘Ooligan in Goblin teams, no team is allowed to combine Sneaky Git with Dirty Player on a player.
